fuck /adv/ y'all are my family
>be 21
>finally have kindof enough money to move out
>best friend lives 200 miles away and wants to go half on apartment
>we have been bullshitting for months about it
>finally getting down to brass tax and really trying to make some moves
>emailed a few apartments earlier today
>hopefully some email back
So what do I need to do to really move into my first apartment? Apply? I have a bad credit score because I fucked my shit up 2 years ago when I was popping xanax everyday and just didn't pay back my credit cards. I have no debt besides my car note which I've never missed a payment on now, but my mom said she will cosign.
I know Im going to have to find a job and such but I've never had a hard time finding a job ever. I have 2k in the bank, is that even worthy enough to move out with someone?
Pic not related but will drop my folder for advice
anon, you have no job, you'll end up being evicted after a month.....

>robots
>knowing anything about self sufficiency or moving out
>asking robots what it's like to live on your own

>2k
>no job lined up
>bad credit
You might want to get a guaranteed job before you move man, if some bullshit happens and you don't get hired in the first month then almost half of the money you have is going to be gone
>brass tax
Posts like this are a diamond dozen.
I've lived in the town I would be moving back into before already, I had to move back to my moms a year ago who lives in another city and I fucking hate it here, been one of the worst years of my life.
Any tips on the first move?

get a job first dumbass
also tfw no friends to go and do this with
No, that's really not enough to move out on.
No appartment owner would let you move in with bad credit and no income, unless your friend has a job maybe.

I have a good resume in retail, customer service and hospitality so getting a job is never hard and my friend has one lined up for me at his job which pays very good.

A good friend doesn't always make a good roommate. They can be really messy or really anal about being neat, they can make a lot of noise and not even realize or care, or they can have any number of other bad habits, particularly if they've always lived at home before and haven't really had to get used to living with non-family. Hopefully you've thought about this before but if not you might want to ask your friend about how neat he keeps things, how late he stays up, etc.

It is if his mom cosigns, provided she has enough income to be a cosigner. Some places want to see that the cosigner has like 3x the rent, since they obviously have their own living expenses on top of the rent they're paying.

His family opened their house to me when I was living with my dad in HS and he died of cancer. I had no where to go besides where I am now, and luckily my friends parents said I could live with them.
I've lived with him for 2 years now so its nothing new.

My friends family makes over 200k income so that woudn't be that big of a deal for his dad to cosign for him.
My mom makes about 60k a year so hopefully thats good enough.
No job, bad credit, no income, not going to happen even if you do have a cosigner.
Make fake paperwork and pray to god the landlord doesnt do their own credit checks

some robots on here have moved out and are living alone in a single bedroom apartment, but it doesn't even matter about the whole moving in with someone part, Im talking about me as an individual, as an Adult doing this shit for the first time trying to leave my moms house.

I have a job right now, and have been working there for about 7 months and brings in around 1200 a month. But after 550 of carnote and full coverage insurance I put everything into the bank. So should I try to find some place to stay and just get a job and THEN try? Because I don't have any friends besides him. His family wont let me live with them because he has 4 bro's and sis's and 1 with a kid and her baby daddy so its like a household of 10 people in there.
