if someone were to proposition you

recruit you to go live in the forest, work on a farm, build humble homes, contribute to a small community, something like that

to leave your society behind, would you consider it? or do you still feel like your place is in your society? the suburbs, your apartment, wherever you are? are you perfectly content being neet, or working retail, or in school working on your major, or whatever? do you think it's more likely for society to find your life of worth one day and reward you with something that might come close to your ideal lifestyle, than it is to take complete control of your life, and to get close to a purely god given physical reality, and build it exactly how you want?

do you have good societal prospects?

are there things that you have now that you wouldnt be able to leave behind?

Yeah, actually that sounds pretty comfy desu. It would be kinda hard at first without the internet and all that, but building a house and simple manual labor seems so appealing to me for some reason as long as im doing it alone or with a few close friends.
Also if the community was small enough I could probably get to know everyone in time and actually function socially instead of being a lonely sack of shit.

The Amish get away with it because their women are born into the system, and don't know any other life. If you try this with modern people, it's going to be a complete sausage-fest. More or less a monastery.
>>
I don't think so. I've been NEET for a few months and it's been pretty nice to bum around for a bit. To give up my comfy life seems a little backward.

That being said, if the place were close to my place, I'd probably be interested in helping with the building. Might be fun.
>>
Your proposition is nice because I don't have a job right now, I like doing manual labor where I don't have to think much, and living somewhere isolated seems more enjoyable
However, living in a small community I know I'd fuck it up somehow

>>
>>28752239
I think it's the next step for robots. The last breakthrough was bringing us all together (this imageboard) now the next obvious step would be to build our own community of likeminded people. Gee, this must be how normies or rich gated communities feel.

We could raise the funds and make money by creating our own "IT consulting" firm that every community member would work at. The less technically savvy robots could build the homes and develop the community.

This is exactly what I have planned. My family is into the homestead thing. We want to all get together and buy 25 or so acres and build a cute little village of tiny houses in a central area with a large common area, a natural swimming pool, spa, patio and outdoor fireplace, outdoor oven, extensive landscaping, and permaculture with about 1 acre dedicated to more traditional farming and maybe some animals like meat rabbits, fowl, and dairy goats. I have a few more ideas and since I'm the engineering minded one I get to do much of the fun drafting work. I'm interested in aquaculture and super efficient farming methods so I will try to automate it as much as possible and just neet it up in our little clan commune. My parents will probably be retiring within 10 years so that's the deadline we're trying for. I intend to continue working but keep it to computer based stuff and dropping my 'real job' to 5 or 6 consecutive days a week through a per diem agency, or just doing travel nursing and take on one or two short assignments a year. The hardest part to cover is internet. I need high speed internet for muh shitposting and if they ever come out with fun online games like Quake or Halo 2 again. Preferably with no bullshit caps like those yurocucks in canada or poland have. That rules out satellite slow speed low cap internet. I really wanted to move to TN or NC but my family is leaning heavily towards MO or KS for some awful reason.

I want us to get a mill like in pic related and sell sorghum molasses and syrup to dumb ass hipsters at the farmers market for an ungodly markup. Mushrooms are another easy to grow high dollar crop. The holy grail would be getting them to grow wild but it's not much more effort to grow on artificial substrates. I think enokitake looks cute and delicious.

>>28752669

Yeah, shit like maters, carrots, cabbage, pickles(>implying anyone eats raw cucumbers), the good stuff. I figure grains are so cheap we can just buy shit like rye, oats, and wheat. I think we want a more forested area but if we did wind up with meadowy shit then hay is pretty easy to grow and profitable enough to make it worth the trouble. Though if it were up to me I'd just plant some kind of timber. Pretty hardwood takes so long to grow I'd rather a place that's already forested. It'd be cool if we wound up being commune neighbors. No feuds though plz
>>
>>28750321
You've been posting about this a lot recently and it's been really exciting to me to see someone with the same fantasy. I've been focused on it for ~3 years now, saving money and taking jobs to build relevant skills. I spent a year as a Carpenter's assistant, this last year as a cook in a farm-to-table (charcuterie, fresh veg, fermentation) and I'm heading out to Michigan this summer to help my family homestead. I'll learn to garden and tend chickens, goats and rabbits.

I think I'm pretty likely to make this happen for myself; I've gained a lot of self-discipline recently and it's my only real goal besides children. My back is stronger than when I was a kid, my hands are calloused and numb. I can work with no sleep and keep my head under pressure. I'm almost ready and it feels good.

I will say, I would love to share a community with a bunch of weirdos, but the average robot hates me. I'm at the bottom left of the political compass, I don't hate women or black people, and I wasn't victimized socially. I try to be utilitarian in all things but I that believe most people are mostly decent when given a chance, and that human decency and altruism are the closest things to God that exist.

What's up with this kik group? Should I get the app? I wanna talk with like-minded folks!

I don't think robots are independent enough to think for themselves or manage life on their own. You're asking a bunch of unemployed basement dwellers to manage a community by themselves? This is unironically funny because it's the complete opposite of what you'd expect from a NEET. It's like asking a black person to be white.
>>
Why would I do all this when I have hordes of wagies working to buy my games and fried chicken?
>>
>>28752953
Because emperor Trump will ax neetbux by February.
>>28752587
How much do you know about peraculture? Do you know any good resources? I'm more concerned with sustainability/stability/not having to fuck with it all the time than profitability.
>>
>>28752831
How big and isolated is this forested area going to be? How much of it would you plan to cut? I wouldn't imagine you could cut much of it without it being unsustainable. Also, cutting every other tree, rather than clear cutting, allows the myriad facets of the ecosystem to remain relatively intact.

>>28752866
It's a total assumption but I would bet most people that yearn for this kind of living would be egalitarian and utilitarian. That'd be especially so when a community is small, because people in large societies have many different ideals that are incompatible with each other, and the dislike of people unlike oneself is only worsened when relationships aren't personal and entire groups of people are generalized.
>>
>>28752909
>it's the complete opposite of what you'd expect
You'd be shocked at what a group of like minded people can actually accomplish.
>>
>>28752831

>not pickling everything

>>28752866
>You've been posting about this a lot recently
i-ive been doing my best not to appear thirsty

i'm knowing that self discipline feel though. the problem is that i knew going in that society doesnt really value hard labor as much as it does social investment, which is why i'm so grateful personally with the work i have. it's also why i've had it in my head for years that one day i would leave

yeah the app i'm using is kik, for smartphones. unfortunately there isn't a pc version and i dont think it will be coming out any time soon but there are android emulators you can work with, and i cant remember what it's called but there's a kik lookalike program that works with the real kik

>I will say, I would love to share a community with a bunch of weirdos, but the average robot hates me
i for one could not give a shit, like i said i'm just trying to mash people with similar interests (namely, this specific one) together in the hopes something like friendships will grow

that's the trick; you need to find the regions where the land is cheap and those who control the land, the country or whatever in which they reside, are actively seeking human occupants. these places do exist too, theyre just not advertised because the places where lots of people congregate, people generally do not want to leave them. otherwise they wouldnt congregate there.

i plan on leaving to live on road soon with only $1000. im lucky enough to have a car already, but i'm terrible at saving money so i dont plan to take much. i plan to make money on the road, but not buy into the system of getting a job you fucking hate every second of bc the job leeches you of your humanity. im going to play guitar for money. pick up bottles and cans for money. maybe head to the great mountains to fetch broccoli to share with the friends back home if you know what i mean. speaking of broccoli, how do you eat?? for free. volunteer at a soup kitchen in exchange for a meal. or just go to the soup kitchen and have a meal if you dont have energy to compensate them (or if you're just a dick). where do you sleep? i hope you like camping, but you dont have to live outside all the time. go WWOOF. connect with spiritual communities like UU's (you will probably find people who are caring enough to help you in your journey if you have a sweet spot for non dogmatic spiritual practice). make friends along the way. as many as you can. people you can call when you need a place to crash. idk how it's going to go but i dream that i'll love it so much i'll do it for a good portion of my life. i want to be the average of everyone i meet, not the product of the 3 or 4 toxic communities lacking richness that i've been immersed in though out my life (i.e. well meaning, but severely out-of-touch parents). i just need to make peace with myself and the rest of humanity. we're all bad people and we're all good people. i want to be the best person i can be and i think the only way is to saturate my life with diversity. tell capitalism im not its fucking slave anymore and i dont believe the FUCKING LIES it's told me my whole life about ME and my FELLOW HUMAN BEINGS. we can be free, because WE control our OWN LIVES. just have courage and help those who dont have the courage to gain it. it's all we can do.

Yeah I'd be down. It's kind of my dream to get some land and build a cottage and grow food, raise animals, and have real community. I'm building a real estate portfolio specifically for that reason, the normies live in my properties and I get to get the heck out. Everyone wins!

>recruit you to go live in the forest, work on a farm, build humble homes, contribute to a small community, something like that
>to leave your society behind, would you consider it?
Fucking YES, I would.
It's better than sitting in this suburban/urban hell that's making me physically unhealthy and slowly killing me inside.
I'd be willing to work hard on a farm, live in a small, humble bungalow type of home in a forest, and contribute to a small community and basically be Amish. I would love to do this all and if I was a given a 100% guaranteed chance of doing this, I would do it in a heartbeat.
I'd give up internet, I'd give up suburban/urban living and "culture", I would give up everything to work and live in a rural place and be with a community that will not give in to modern control by shekelstein inc. and his money-loving companions, and not have to depend on them to just survive by working for peanuts, while they're busy laughing and counting their coins.
So, yes OP, I would. I dream of a simple, rural life like you described.

every helpful image along these lines are only of course templates, theyre not complete guides. you could have 3 neighbors who plant with variety as an example. i'm not particularly agriculturally apt but i'm aware that there are always workarounds to these problems that are easily googleable or learned from people who are agriculturally apt. i'm also aware that they are hard work

it won't work, you don't walk into a profession with apprentices. If you fuck up once you're whole set up will be bankrupt. You will fuck up more than once

>their women are born into the system, and don't know any other life
>If you try this with modern people, it's going to be a complete sausage-fest.
This. Very few modern people would actually want to live a traditional, rural lifestyle because they like the decadence of the city. City girls who actually like the idea of living a rural lifestyle are practically nonexistent.
>>
>>28756912
>you don't walk into a profession with apprentices

see this is just disgusting to me, this is why i want to leave. all the old fucks have this mindset, like theyre the keepers to some great secret of society, and for some dumbass reason they dont want other people to know it. like when they die in 15 years, they want society to collapse along with them. no, i know why they dont tell anyone, it's because their job is fucking simple and anyone with a tiny bit of effort can learn their trade.

do you even read what youre saying?
>you can't do things if you have to learn them :^)
fucking end your life, christ

I'm not saying you can't do things if you have to learn them. I'm saying you cannot farm in isolation without having to learn it beforehand.

well the idea is to not do it alone but to gather human resources. i would definitely like to make some friends with people who know how to work the land more efficiently than i would by just winging everything

i'm also not trying to isolate myself. i recognize that even if farmers can't come with me, they exist on the internet and there is at least one out there who wouldn't mind answering questions i might face

Before the mongols there were several aryan tribes stretching from Scandinavia all the way to India that terrorized and enslaved the local little manlets (this is why there are some aryans in for example Germany today), some also think that some of these travelled by sea (see the Rig Vedas, the white horse peoples that came from the sea and the myth of Atlantis). These people probably originated in the north pole then went south in waves. Scandinavians and ethnic Russians are the most related to these.

Mongol culture was probably adapted from these by the way, they've found aryan mummies all the way in Tuva, Altai, Irkutsk etc.

well, if youre happy with your life thats cool

personally i dont believe that with my own power i can perpetuate the culture i live in. and i'm sure many other robots feel the same way, so i want to give ourselves a chance to create something of our own that has the chance to persist. what we do in society doesnt involve persisting. what we do in society generally involves festering. if you want to fester, thats cool, but i would rather not

what exactly about your romanticized robotic simulacrum lends itself to posterity?

>bro, were going to learn the hard way what people died learning thousands of years ago bra, it'll be so real
you're at best an idealistic fool, but that's much too much credit to give you

what are you talking about? what festering?
>bro I just filed those papers for my boss, I'm wasting away here bra
you think growing wheat is more perpetual?
what about modern wheat growers, they'll become house makers? and house makers will become your luxury good manufacturers?
It's asinine. Unless I'm missing a major distinction between what you propose to create and what already exists to me it seems like you just want to make a shittier, less competent society and for some reason see it as preferable
>>
>>28757879
not OP, you seem to forget the most important thing about this.

Robots wish to be connected to others in some kind of personal social group. either it be friends who enjoy the same hobbies or a bunch of robots bound by a common cause.

I think he knows that the venture will most likely end disastrous, and is trying to mitigate the risk. But he is looking for those who a longing for a sense of community, and disagree with current society they are living in.

TL:DR
The goal is to create an Amish community, they are bros who do their own thing, why cant we?

i'm a little more optimistic but yeah you got a fair bit of it. the thing is, everyone wants a sense of belonging and everyone can provide it, but what you need is a common goal. i know there are people here who would love to share in my goal, so here i am, propositioning them for friendship. sorry if im coming off autistic but if i didnt then i dont see why id have to bother coming here instead of participating successfully in the mainstream

>the fact that not everyone on this board enjoys posting rare peeps or receiving neetbux or shitting on the ground or whatever the fuck you imagine a robot to be
Not an answer. You want to create something unique that will last, unlike the horrible festering society we have. To reach this, you mean to recreate what we already have but with robots.
You... do you see why this makes me think you're not smart?

>i'm sorry if i dont derive pleasure and purpose from the place you seem to believe i live
Life isn't for enjoyment you muley fuck. Recreate everything and click your heels, you'll be in the same place.

>what the hell is this shit about? are you telling me you believe that having a white collar job is more advanced than not? that it's an obligatory goal?
No I think that you are lying to yourself. You think having a group of shut ins farming and chopping wood will provide them with some sort of self worth that they don't already have. Farming and home building jobs exist, going to get jewed by you isn't going to help any of these fucks.
>>
>>28758219
>I was unaware that robots wanted to be socially connected, literally never got that feeling but I could just be misreading things.

I would venture to guess at least 90% of true robots feel this way, not the shit posting failed normies that choke this board out with shit.

thank you for your optimism

>You think having a group of shut ins farming and chopping wood will provide them with some sort of self worth that they don't already have
why would we be on this board if we believe we have worth for where we are in society? are you sure you belong here?

>Farming and home building jobs exist
>implying these jobs are as simple as chopping down a tree or stacking rocks
>implying they arent overburdened with building codes and labor laws
inb4 theyre there for your benefit
>implying if child laws weren't around we wouldnt already be skilled carpenters by 14
yfw you realize this is what makes fucking illegal immigrants so god damn popular

if you can find these jobs and function along with the people in them, good for you. i think you might have some growing up to do if you think that everyone can just begin their life by finding a job

people grown in the first world in a suburb with every need provided have not grown at all. they are fucking larvae, unless they have social skills and can 'fit in' (if you have these, then why are you here?) they have no skills that are helpful in the real world.

goodnight anon, congrats on being self assured with your position in life
>>

>passive aggression, I'm socially inept it's not my fault tee hee

you are willing to start a fake society, but not willing to get a job? Yeah, looks like both of us need to grow up you sissy.
Maybe I don't belong here, but I'll still post to give "real robots" fair warning.
You're an inept, short sighted fuck stick trying to appeal to outcasts to acquire a means of production.

Farm jobs have literally no prerequisites. If you can't get a job because you're too socially inept to pull weeds, you will not be able to survive in a autonomous society of any incarnation. It is within all robots' potential to change enough to earn gainful employment. wasting time pining about some half baked society where people learn their tasks as they go is quite possibly the worst plan anyone in a NEET situation could subscribe to.

Goodnight, see you in your next recruitment thread
