It isn't so much that I doubt your story; it's simply that I find it baffling. I can't imagine a scenario in which any coworker would care about anyone's sex life, much less anyone's lack of it. At least the former holds the possibility of some prurient interest.
But then again, I work with relatively older people, people my age who have had their share of relationships, have children and all of the rest. Perhaps the virginal status of others is a preoccupation of the young.
In a way, I sort of envy your story, believe it or not. I find the possibility of anyone caring about my late virginity sort of appealing. It would mean the conclusion was not foregone. But, of course, it is. Which I suppose is one of the reasons no one ever bothered to inquire.
