where do you find depressed friends?
The only people I ever hang out with are old friends from high school who are happy normies.
They're not bad people I just can't relate to them at all

You don't want depressed friends any more than you want a fembot gf.
What you want are accepting and understanding friends who are able to help you when you're too depressed to realize you need it.

I would once every month or two read a post on /r9k/ that contradicted a popular view in a very cool-headed manner. I would then state my pleasure at reading it and at times ask what the poster does IRL, because I'm genuinely curious of correlates of this. I imagine that I could have asked for contact and, were I suaver and smarter, maintain a meaningful discussion out of it. Those people were presumably not depressed/-ive, but I'm hardly attracted to cheer in itself.

Usually hanging in their closets.
try to get into an art scene
at least thats what i would do, if i didnt live in the middle of nowhere
theyre probably more relatable than norms

As a matter of fact, even I seem to recall moments that the other poster would express wistfulness at the scant likelihood that we talk to each other on /r9k/ again.
