I'm take benzodiazepines all the time, but everyone's addicted to those so it doesn't count. Then there was meth for awhile. But oddly enough the one that always gets me is plain old alcohol. I went through a whole week of detox, and now here I am drinking again. I can't stop.
I have a legit game addiction. Sounds dumb I know but in autism brains it works the same way as nicotine or drugs.

OK so my anxiety was under control, I went outside and I still had friends I would hang out with, but I was downing half a liter of whiskey per night, and it was going to kill me at that rate. But my friends were terrible people, anon. It took me to a bad place, so I thought stop the drinking, stop the drugs, and I'll be OK. But I was wrong. I'm still an addict, and I'm still drinking. Only now I don't have friends. Good times.

Started with oxycodone. Legit prescription. I got bumped up to 30 mg and Oxymorphone 15mg. I got my pain meds stopped when my doctor retired. No one else would write me anything more than 10mg percs because I'm only 23. So I switched to buying pills off the street. But they are $5 a mg for oxymorphone and I couldnt afford a $350 a day habit. So now I sell pills wholesale and IV use heroin (300mg/day) and my pill profit covers my drug use. H is so much cheaper in comparison.
I have had 4 exploratory surgeries for my blown out knee and deviated vertabrae and herniated discs in my back. I'm gonna have to have my back broken and reset eventually. Fuck surgery I'll just stay with my pain management but I'm developing scoliosis.

But WD from oxymorphone is the worst detox you will ever experience. I'd rather come off methadone (month long detox) than oxymorphone for 5 days. I am addicted to feet. They are the only thing I can get off to and I have spent thousands of dollars on foot porn, be it pre-done or custom made. I get what you're saying. While people may get a minor foot fetish from being exposed to it in media, to develop a true addiction, one needs to be exposed to it directly from an early age. This is exactly what happened to me. When I was about 5, I began "playing" with my aunt's feet.
