I went. It really isn't as good as people say it is.
I don't really talk to many girls, so I decided fuck it, and asked some random person in my grade. She ended up saying yes, so we went.
I pretty much just did the standard stuff (put on her corsage, drove her to the place, etc) and then basically just ditched her so she could talk to her own friends while I talked with my own.
Tbh I should have just gone alone, but oh well.

I never went to any school dance function during standard public education, much less prom.
I know from experience that in general, the thing that you don't do is the thing that you regret more. Not this one. I have never regretted not going to prom, not one time.
I seem to remember playing video games that night, six blocks away. It might have been Final Fantasy Tactics, maybe not. Nothing of value was lost.
