I think the most angry posters are the loud minority. I think most people here have just been nice their whole lives, maybe nicer than is good for them. Either they're just now reserved about their kindness and only show it online, or they act bitter because their kindness only got them bullying in return. They know deep down they are just nice guys with a hurting heart though.

I'm sorry your life is crap. You can't just sleep through the bad times though. The bad times only go away with your action. Even if it's just the action of being awake and passing time. Sleeping is a shut off, an escape, but it's no solution. Your bad time will pass, everybody's does. Trust me, I have severe bipolar disorder. I know the depression feels like it won't ever end and it couldn't be worse, but it will end. However you are right that it couldn't be worse- you are likely feeling the worst you can feel. But that's okay, because it means you're getting it out of the way. Soon enough you'll be back to feeling not the worst.
You will be happy soon enough. Maybe not happy, but free from suicidal ideation.
