You can try, but you'll try and brace with your arms. You're biologically hardwired that way.
Paralyzation is unlikely. 2 broken limbs is not.
Keep in mind that a fall from less than 7 meters will certainly not kill you, unless you hit your head, a fall from 7-12 meters is within deadly range, but you may survive still. To be certain of death you'd need a drop that is more than 12 meters.
