Yes. There are some illnesses that I have that are actually incurable by medicine and only respond to therapy.

I've never responded to therapy before, but I have to do it anyway.

Well there isn't much I can say: it's russian roulette, depending on which kind of therapy she was taught to apply and how well it works for your personnal case (Cognitive behavioural therapy for example is said to work great on phobias).

It's true, only the people who see something's wrong with you and ask for alone-time with you to talk about it will help. A teacher once did that (biology, around 35, she was studying psychology to become a psychiatrist) and advised me to go seek a specialist for my case because she didn't have time for me anymore and was going to quit teaching.

Time with her helped a LOT.
The first thing that shocked me when I went to the "specialist" was the first question: "What do you want to fix and/or improve about yourself?"

I realised this was strictly business so I disconnected with that shit as soon as possible.

A good therapist would see that this isn't what you REALLY want: you feel this way because you want to be AMONG the normalfags. You want to have a social life, you want a gf, you want to be out and experience the world and be able to create nice memories with friends and lovers.

But you can't, so to protect your psyche, your mind starts to hate normalfags. For you, the key should be to see that what you really want is to have a more "normal" life, you are mission good social relationships and experiences in your life, and you should be working on how to get them.
