If your mom went into cardiac arrest on the street and a man approached and you ask if he knew cpr and he replied " No but I am a really nice guy and have plenty of other redeeming qualities." would you be angry? You should, people have needs and its perfectly reasonable to expect them to try to fulfill those needs. One need people have is to have meaningful relationships with other people.
