I need a picture for my resume and probably for my facebook (haven't changed it in years) but I live alone and don't have many friends. Would it be cringy if I asked an acquaintance who's into photography (and by that I mean she has an instragram without any selfies) to take pictures of me?
ps I don't have a good camera myself
(I know I shouldn't bump on r9k but I'd like an answer please)
That's perfectly acceptable, but... meh could be awkward
You could try straight up telling her you need it for a resume and and you want to make it a good pic.

Yeah this. It's a perfectly reasonable favor to ask.
While we're asking dumb questions I want to know more about the same thing. Are there any guidelines on how these types of pictures should go? I I want to build a kickass personal brand and website. I wouldn't include a picture with my resume, but I still need some professional portraits taken.
