Not in my experience. It's seen as coming on too strong. Though strangely, exchanging Facebook or social networking in general somehow isn't seen as such.

Yeah that's a meme I got out of the way at the beginning of college. I was a varsity athlete and in decent shape, and one of my teammates told me "you just have to ask as many girls as you can".
