There is literally no downside to being christian.
Even if it turns out God isn't real, and that I devoted my life to an imaginary friend in the sky, at least I was happy while doing so, which is more than I can say for most of you.
On top of that, it's considered cowardly and a sin to kill yourself, so I'm not suicidal either.
I have no doubt that if I wasn't a christian I'd be thinking about suicide daily, but I'm happy, so I don't need to kill myself.
