The negativity part is mostly on fringe boards like /r9k/. Try being on a major board like /v/ for example. It's just horrible.
Yes. I hate the group-think, the hivemind, the collectivism, whatever you want to call it. I hate how there aren't really any people here. There are just a few opinions. That's the thing that really gets me. And it's not just this website. It's every website. It's actually made me better appreciate r/l socialising. Even though the only person I talk to, regularly, is my doctor.
I know people have been saying this for a long time, but I have noticed another decline in the quality of this place. Like the website has gotten smaller, yet larger. The boards have melded. You know that /v/ or /pol/ type posting. Not the racism or sexism or whatever. It's just so base, and vociferous, and violent. It's absolutely ruined /tv/, for instance.
However, I'm sure the problem isn't with these websites. It's with me. Except the destruction of /tv/. I know that's real.
