I would recommend a blonde or light roasted bean, they taste less burned (starbucks coffee is notorious for tasting like burned beans) but also have more caffeine than a darker roast. there are coffee roasters online who sell beans, brooklyn roasting company is a good place to start. also just search for coffee grinders on amazon and pick a cheap one to start, you can always buy more expensive equipment later, and you're on your way to coffee enlightenment, don. the plus side of using good non-burned tasting beans is that you dont really need sugar or milk in the coffee because the brew actually tastes good
