If you have a well formed body (lift) it won't matter much. Some will prefer hairier men, some will prefer hairless men. A small fraction will not date someone because of their body hair pattern, but they are the less and you shouldn't be much concerned about it. As a hairy guy myself (except not on those problem areas you mentioned), this. I've met both plenty of girls who've found it to be a turn-off, and plenty of girls who've found it to be a turn on. And plenty who are neutral about it. So it's not something I really stress about.

I feel you man. I have thick curly hair all over my chest, shoulders, and back. Women bitch and complain all the time about having to shave legs and armpits but I guarantee its much more expensive, difficult, and time consuming for me to shave my back than for them to shave their legs.
