One of my best friends that's tried to kill herself before just called me asking how to buy a gun (because apparently I'm "the gun guy"). She got denied at the gun shop because of previous mental health treatment. I don't think this is some attention seeking thing, she literally seems dead inside already and she's tried it before, her dad stopped her when he found a shotgun in her trunk that she bought specifically to blow her head off with.
I don't even know what to do in this type of situation, do I call the police? Is there something I can say to make her want to live?

I think he would be the best person to contact since he's stopped her before. Or should I just call the police? She just called again saying she talked to one kd her friends and asked him to buy a gun for her and he said yes WTF IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE if she does it I'm definitely fucking reporting him since a federal crime.

She's tld the one other person, I was going to call the police and say I'm him and let them know. Her dad pays for her apartment but doesn't live there. The only thing I don't know is he apartment number or I would have called already.

Yeah right, a lot of people kill themselves at gun ranges. It's to the point they won't let people rent guns by themselves, they have to be 2 or more people.
She doesn't know enough about guns either. She got a shotgun because it was the cheapest and probably bought the cheapest ammo which is birdshot. She would have just been severely injured, probably mild brain damage and all the skin ripped/burned off her face. If she does get a handgun she'll probably load it with cheap FMJ and end up a retarded vegetable. A gun is a shit way to kill yourself, statistically speaking. A lot of people end up surviving and making their lives infinitly harder.
