Found out after I left that a woman was going to cover my Sunday shift

I felt bad for a few months but then I remembered when she didn't show up for her shift and I ended up doing double shift. My boss later told me that she said she forgot she had to work that day so fuck feeling bad.

I got fired for putting in a month long notice. 2 weeks is the norm and I doubled that shit to GIVE THEM EXTRA TIME. Weirdest part is this isn't the first time I've had this happen. What the fuck is with employers firing you on the spot when you put in your notice?
