I kind of like the very early sunrise in the summer here, I can go out for walks during the early hours and not have to worry about getting lost or falling down a ditch (I like in a fairly rural area) because it doesn't get dark enough.
But the downside is just 7 hours of daylight in winter with a very low shadow inducing sun.
Right now its 1am and the sky still has a blueish tint to it.

Nooooooo sir I would not. It's very dark and very heavy, if you don't drink beer a lot I'd stick to IPAs like Sierra Nevada Pale Ale and whatever your regional breweries are putting on the shelf labeled "IPA."
Dark beers are very much an acquired taste in my opinion. I always start a drinking session with at least one light beer anyway, to ease my tastebuds into harder stuff.
