Had ingrown toenails on both big toes. First one got infected in some gross lake, doctors tried treated it for about 6 months without operation, but finally decided to permanently reduce the with of the nail trough surgery.
The second ingrown nail came about one year later on the other foot. I went to several specialists and they all told me that it can't be done without surgery, my nails are "genetically too wide" - so I had another surgery, never had any problems with my nails again.

Simply put, you retard- not everyone thinks a baby ingrown toenail is the equivalent to an impacted and infected one.
You aren't special or manly for that, you don't get put under for the 'surgery', either. You're just an idiot that probably should have an infection.
You wouldn't be able to fit scissors in to remove it if it were as serious as the cases that are recommended for surgical intervention. You have to get an injection and peel the warped skin away with a scalpel and then take care of the nail after draining the blood and pus from the blister.
Not to mention chemicals can be used post-'surgery' to prevent the toenail from growing back.
Go take a STEM course or do something productive instead of shitposting, you whiny faggot.

I remove mine with nail clippers. Primarily it's on my left foots big toe on the left side. I make a diagonal cut like / and just pull the nail out.
It gets pretty bad if I don't, very sore and eventually pus the fuck out. One time I had a crater in my toe where it was all pus-filled, along with a shard of nail in it, no joke. It was pretty bad. Other times I've had the actual nail pretty much grow through the skin, really fucking painful clawing at it to try and get the elongated thin ingrown part to go back and up the side so I can remove it properly.

Sometimes it grows back more fucked up. You can't cut right down to the nail bed, and now there's a jagged edge in there that gotta grow out.
if its not just some minor problem you cant fix it with a scissor
it will keep growing back the wrong way
i had surgery on both and they simply dont grow back on that side, they remove the entire nailbed so it doesnt fuck with you again
