i hate 4chan/reddit culture, those twenty something men who scream and shout like children to make their "high iq" contrarian points of view heard. I dislike lots of things about mainstream opinion/feminism etc but if i will make a reasoned statement with substance in it if i feel like commenting. I won't start foaming at the mouth and using emotional expletives
you fucking annoy me because you are just bubbling reactions, there is nothing calm or measured about you, you just fly off the handle and it comes out in a childish snearing fashion
you are killing the internet and thats why everything is devolving into memes, because your brains are soups of memes and short bursts of emotion
Well are you a little hypocrite

I completely agree, the real people who are good to talk to are all to busy with their careers. Go and look around wikiquote, some of the things the scientists have said are so refreshing.
I'm tired of seeing black and white views of life and the attitude "everyones going to die durrr watch tv now" because of the last part. Goddamn, look at me, cant even argue without becoming one of them

I took speech and debate in high school and a little bit of college. I know how to critically examine my own arguments and how to search for evidence towards claims. I can see through a lot of what 4chan argues with; strawmen arguments and ad hominem attacks are useful here because the people don't know any other way of evaluating opinions.
One day there will be a forum that restricts access based on how reasonable a person's posts are. I hope to find it soon. For now I have to deal with the 1/200 reasonable and thought provoking threads that can be found here.
