Tried this thread once before with ok interest.
Ask a dude living in Japan anything.

>Living close to Tokyo
A popular question has been how I got the job. Sites like gaijinpot and kimiwillbe are excellent. It requires a degree, and prior experience is extremely valuable but not a formal requirement. Speaking Japanese is not a necessity, but will make everyday life easier.
this isn't /trv/
fuck off
>Not a weeabo
Why japan then? WASTED POTENTIAL
Also how much time to learn japanese? What's your first langage, english?
what possible interest could living in japan be if you're not a weaboo? seeing the same shinto temples over and over must get old after a while, no?

If you study hard I imagine you can be in a decent place after a few months. My own Japanese isn't amazing, but that's partly because moving here was sort of a spontaneous decision.
English is my third language. I'm Danish, I'm sure you can work out the rest.

I haven't traveled outside of Europe. I wanted to try living abroad, and I sort of craved a culture shock. Japan seemed like a decent and interesting place. The temples do get old quick; they're not particularly interesting.

>whats your first language, english?
>OP is Danish
This is why no one likes you

Quickly decided to avoid living in China after a tiny amount of research. I'll probably travel there, but fuck living there.
