I'm into shinto. I like Japan's version of hollidays. I like Japan's food. I like their focus on tech. I like a lot of the music from them that I've heard. I like their language. I've heard theres alot of problems in their workforce. I'll never attend school there so it's useless to think about. I like JRPGs and anime.
Overall I'm a weeb without much knowledge of the subjects I like.

Like I said, not much knowledge in the subjects I like. I listened to a lot of anime openings and a bit of vocaloid. I'd look up more music from japan if I knew how. But I'm also lazy and it's rare that I do something new.

Normal people don't really use flipphones. Occasionally I see old people with them, but pretty much everyone has a smartphone.

Well, the proper term would be "being into Japanese POP culture", if you're an otaku or a weeb most of the time you're just a pop culture fan. Not that pop culture is bad, but it's only a part of the whole Culture thing.
I'm a manga addict and I like to learn a bit about Japanese culture in general... It's interesting cause it's exotic.
But I wouldn't go as far as to say I'm into Japanese culture. It'd be pretty offensive for someone to be only seen as a "Katana holding and sushi eating real life manga character".
