The left does not want welfare states! All welfare is a direct subsidy to business owners. By having welfare, businesses can pay their workers a lower wage, and thus make more money from the value-produced wage payed difference.
Leftists want workers to control the businesses, that way everyone can get honest pay for honest work and society wouldn't be based around getting people to conform to a system where surplus value is taken from their labor.
