They are supposed to look good, and most reviewers state that they don't even notice the screen door effect after a bit. But no one currently has the display technology to make pixels small enough to trick your brain. It's okay when it's at a distance, but a few inches from your eyeballs is quite an engineering problem.
I really wish there were display units for Vive in every Best Buy, I'd actually visit that store to try it out.

1080p on google cardboard looks like grainy 360p. I think it looks way better on something like oculus rift though
It's amazing... I have gear VR and a shitty Note 4 and it's still amazing... just have to make sure noone home kek cause you have no idea who the fuck is in the room.
