I work in child care. the lowest paying career that is still somewhat respected. I commute an hour and a half a day by bus to the shit part of the shit city. I get min wage but I have a house and a job and I eat every night and I have some luxuries. Why? Because I don't pay $1,250 for rent to live in some place close to work. I live outside the city, in a $500 a month studio (all utilities paid except cable/internet)
