You're going to have to work yourself up to that though. When you start meditating you will realize how clustered your thoughts are. You will probably want to start with 20 minutes or so and work your way up to hour long sessions.

Sit in a quiet place. Sounds of nature are okay in my opinion, or a nice video on youtube look up "meditation sounds" and you will find videos of creeks running, etc etc. Binural beats are also an option but should be used in more advanced practice IMO.
So when you have a nice space where you wont be interupted and silence or soothing sounds, close your eyes and breathe deeply. Breathing is the most important part of meditation. Count your breaths. In for 5 out for 5. in for 5 out for 5. You want to slow your breathing down, but not so much that it is difficult for you, the more you practice, the slower your breath will naturally become when going into meditation.
Once you've established your breath, it becomes a bit free form. You ultimately want to clear your mind. At first, thoughts will be popping up at an incredible rate and will distract you. My personal method, of getting past this first step was to picture a river. And when thoughts pop up, picture them floating away down the river. Notice them, do not disregard them, but do not engage them.
Practice makes perfect. Do your own research, everyone finds their own methods that work best for them.

Will try this coming weekend when i have a lot of free time to set out to try and truly relax without having any background stress going on.
