How much over the limit were you driving?
Tickets for speeding are one of the most ridicolous things ever
well, that should teach you a lesson then

I hate people like you
Do you know that he put anyone in danger?
I know places where I can speed 100km/h over the limit and don't endanger anyone including myself, while at some other places I'll crash when driving as much as limit allows.
Do you want to live in a state controlled society?

not OP, i got a $240 ticket for going 20 over (80 in a 60). $120 for the ticket, $120 for court costs. taking a defensive driving course waved the ticket fee

32 in a 20.
they do it under the assumption that if you dont pay attention to speed limit signs, you aren't paying attention at all.

thanks senpai, but it's alright, it was a (college) school zone. no one was in danger, but im guessing the cop stopped me because i was in a rush and accelerated a bit too quick after the light turned green

Jesus christ, they caught me with 50km/h in a 30km/h zone a few months ago, had to pay 60Euro and already thought it was ridicolous.
I always thought the USA was much more liberal regarding speeding, guess I was wrong

You get some leeway for like five mph, but in California you can get reckless driving if you speed 80+ on the freeways, even during the dead of night when there aren't many people on it.
That was when I was carpooling with someone since I generally go 70 on the freeways so it isn't worth stopping someone like me if there is even a cop on the road compared to someone that is going 90.

Jesus
I've been in Poland not so long ago
Was going 220kmh (136mph) almost constantly (through the Czech Republic too), noone gave a shit.
Would never do that here in Austria though.
