Personally it's just for the rides. Fuck the social aspect, fuck the faggots working for minimum wage in a suit, and fuck social media.
That hotel ride is my fuckin shit though, that and tomorrowland. Shit's great.
>>
It's so stupid and everyone is so nice (besides all the guests) the place looks like a dream everything there is made to lull you into a state of happiness so you can just forget the pain for a couple of seconds...

At my time there, visiting almost every Kingdom's ride, I really enjoyed every ride. Sometimes, I went outside to eat, but most of the time the food inside the park was pretty good too. The staff are very nice, and the only thing I remember complaining about is being tired when I came back to my hotel room at night.

It is good for the water parks mainly. But I am more a thrillseeker which Disney does not cater for. Six Flags and Universal along with some European/Japanese parks are far better.

As a dysfunctional robot I never feel truly at ease in public. Theme parks especially, since there is always a hundred people in your immediate vicinity. If there is ever a zombie apocalypse though that wipes the humans out, I'd be all over some theme parks.

I just remembered this shit for the first time in years and it still pisses me off to no end. My dad just *couldn't* accept that I didn't want to do all the shit he wanted. To be fair, he felt awful about it afterwards and he never tried to force me out of my comfort zone again. Needless to say, I have no interest in going back.

Orlando dweller here. Been to disney once in my life, honestly dont see the appeal of going to the same park to do the same shit again AND pay way out the ass everytime to do it. It is not fuckin cheap by any stretch of the imagination. And yet I know people that go religiously every goddamn weekend. WHY? The fuck is there to see for the 45th time? That and the people here with the Annual Pass bumper stickers that parade that shit like a status symbol christ. I just dont get it.

a family friend invited me to go along with them and their kids to disney land a few years ago, i was like 23. they paid for everything and i just helped them watch their (monster bastard) brat kids. i never went there as a kid so i just said fuck it and went.

epcot was ok, everything else was meh. it was either down pouring or too hot and humid to walk around. i had to spend a week there. we spent 2 days at some water park before we went to disney land, i enjoyed that, i like water parks.

overall a very miserable experience. it's for kids, obviously, so if you don't have kids/are over 12 years old, it's just boring. i've never seen so many fat people in my life. i'm from the north east, we're pretty thin up here, but holy shit, 80% of the people down there were overweight or fat. fucking disgusting. lose weight southern people.

That feel when the rides have tester seats in queue so fat shits don't have to shame themselves because they cannot fit into the ride.
>>
>>28616713
I don't know, personally I'm much too cheap to even consider taking a trip too Disneyland. Whats the appeal of spending 100 dollars on a ticket then having to wait in packed long lines and pay 4 dollars for a water bottle and seven dollars for a burger. Fuck that, I'd rather stay home and jack off.

The rides aren't as fun as an amusement park.

The exhibits aren't as interesting as a museum.

The shows aren't as interesting as movies or other art.

The architecture of some of the older stuff in EPCOT is cool to me but I'm a genXfag and it reminds me of growing up in the late 70s when people were making things look "futuristic" and people were becoming comfortable with the progress of technology and starting to buy "home computers" as they were called then, and play Atari video games, and sci-fi movies like Star Wars were finally making technology look fun. 1977-1982 was a neat time to be a kid in that respect and it's when EPCOT was designed and built.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wsyUMrvQwhI
The international part was neat when I was a kid but you can sometimes see cooler stuff in ethnic neighborhoods.

But what is really neat is that they try to make everything "perfect" more than any other place I've been to. You probably can't smoke in the park anymore but when I went in the 80s, if someone dropped a cigarette butt on the ground it wouldn't be there long before someone would just happen to pass buy and sweep it up and make it look like the most effortless gesture. It's just like that excellence thing about it that's so cool. Walt Disney had this phrase - "plus it" - where if you created something, he'd tell you to "plus it" which meant make something about it even better or different or unprecedented. Everything's plussed there.

I went there when I was 12, which is a little old to go there for the first time, but when I got back I had this weird longing for the place like a month later like I missed it and missed the relaxed feels I had there.
>>
>>28619325
Fellow gen X'er. Went to Epcot the year it opened. Of course, that's was before 50% of the country became obese morons. You couldn't pay me to go today.

>Disney creates the context of your childhood nostalgia through heavy marketing and overproduction.
>Reap the benefits of grown up normies wanting their childhood experience x (:

That's all. You had your childhood sold back to you as a package holiday.

Maybe this shit isn't for me though. Package/resort holidays always came across as cheap and seedy to me. Like the canned dogfood of holidays.

Whatever keeps normies greasing the shekel wheels though, ey.

That's not how it works in 'murica.

I'm pretty wealthy. I have almost no food in my house. Coffee, tea and some condiments.

My fat fuck sister and her fat fuck husband's house (which is worth 1/5 of what mine is) has enough food to feed them for at least six months.

Believe me. Don't envy these people.

Only reason I go now is to watch parents slapping and smacking tired kids around
Costs a ton, I get in with a pass from my job
Watching these small kids get dragged around late in the day, instead of napping, mom and dad, paid a ton, so your gonna be happy, I fucking love it
Stop in at the main street bank and watch people trying to cash in savings bonds to buy stuff, or cash 3rd party out of state checks, just great
Grandparents have pictures from the mid 60's, Disneyland was a lot more interesting then, people dressed nice, no flip-flops and shitty clothes, almost all white with maybe a couple of Japs, no lowlifes, Mexicans, Negro's or White Trash, must have been awesome, plus every store sold different stuff
Been to most of the other parks, but the original is still the best
Last time there, two weeks ago, I watched a Chinese family push in to get a seat for the parade on Main Street, 10 year old boy, needed to shit, Mom put out some napkins he squatted in the street and took a dump in front of everyone, pissed in a souvenir cup, Mom covered up the shit with more napkins and stepped on it, poured the piss into the gutter, then they moved across the street, everyone moved away from the shit and piss, Beaner family swooped in and sat in the piss, kids started playing with the "dropped ice cream", laughed so bad I thought I was having a stroke, security showed up, got a ckeaner, and moved on, told me " Some people have different customs", in the old days that yellow bitch would have been out on her ass

Entrance used to be right next to the entrance to the Blue Bayou, had a pephole in the door
One entrance is up at the top of the outside staircase inside that alley area called the Court of Angels
Been redesigned, made bigger and the menu was changed, ate there twice in the late 90's as a kid, my Dad knew a member

Picture is the old entrance

I don't count disneyland/world
when I go there it's like a dreamland
don't care about anybody else
even if you're alone people treat you nice
went into a haunted house alone and people told me to have fun and the scary actors kept singling me out
>>
>>28619325

It really is magical. I remember I never used public bathrooms until I went there. I was 14, couldn't even shit/piss in the school bathroom. But in Disney world, we were so far from our hotel (we stand in the camping place) that I basically had no choice, I had to use the bathroom. I did and I didn't die. Just like that the fear melted away...
>>
>>28619325
yea that was the thing that was really annoying to me, the smoking bit. you aren't allowed to smoke in the park, you need to go to designated smoking areas. there's only a few here and there, so you have to walk all over the fucking place just to smoke a cigarette. even in the hotels you need to go to a designated smoking area.

i get it, it's a kids park and muh cancer yadda yadda, but it's not like we're indoors smoking up a room and everyone has to breath it in, it's out in the fucking open air. yea sure, people throw cigarette butts everywhere, but kids throw cups and food wrappers and shit like that all over the place there too, and they still keep it clean...
