Go in and tell them you had a massive psychological breakdown or you've been out of town for a while. Ham up your robotness. Ask to speak to disability/accessibility services. Go to EVERYONE you possibly can.
University is made out of rubber stamps. Somewhere in that building is someone who can rubber stamp you an extension, rubber stamp you a way out. Trust me. I've gotten out of worse.

I'm honestly surprised I haven't failed out of college, yet.
I'm considering dropping out.
My GPA is in the toilet, although I haven't failed anything yet. I don't really feel like continuing.
Only reason I don't is that I don't have anything else to go to. You can't get an unskilled job where I live.
I didn't fail out but if I had stayed another semester I would've so I just dropped out. Other than that OP I did what you are planning on doing
