I guess anything can be considered a hobby if you do it enough, including games. However I still think playing video games is a pretty worthless hobby, as it rarely challenges your intelligence enough to be considered accomplishing. Exceptions could be something like maxing out a game of Tetris or breaking an arcade game record, as it requires something extraordinary from the player.
