the other day the bus driver (who was new) missed my stop so i got really fucking pissed off at him, yet I never thank the bus drivers for every stop they get right

I know this feel. I'm also super hard on myself, but this actually stems from too much success (did good in school, so when I didn't understand/fucked up I felt it more than someone desensitized to failing.), but those successes are meaningless.

Couldn't have put it better myself. What few things I get right seem negligible to the mountains of failure in-between. Often our greatest flaw is being too afraid to try because we can't stand seeing those mountains grow. As if the mountain was getting ready to somehow collapse on top of us.

I'm all in for telling them good morning, good afternoon or good evening, but thank you? Not only I'll sound like a dumbass screaming "THANK YOU" over the bus, but he also gets his thanks when he gets paid his salary.
