Im talking from personal experience, after many years of depression. I still find some joy in games and anime, but they are so few and far apart. Your interests has simply shifted to other things. When you where a kid you played with lego's/toys/games, then when you hit your teens it was still games/animes/sports/etc, now as an adult it shifted again, you just have to find what it is, theirs too many hobbies to list. Some adults however still enjoy games/anime/comics, perhaps throughout all their lives, so I don't know. Main point is just try and keep that child sense of fascination alive by trying new things you never thought you'd find interest in, even if it necessarily isn't productive and you wont be making cash from it, hobbies that show progression are usually the better ones, like working on cars, visual arts, instruments, rock climbing, you could even find joy in the more technical hobbies etc. I found that when my internet was shut down for a month, I ended up reading 10 different books, and really enjoyed it more than most movies or animes I have watched in my life.
