This is me again. as for general advice, if it's a camping festival bring a Ez-up (pop up awning thing). It makes your campsite 10x better to hang out and will attract people.
While you're setting it up talk to your neighbors and introduce yourself. Smoke a bowl with them, or offer them a beer. You'll probably make several friends immediately this way, just from your neighbors. Also, if you mention that you're there alone they will most likely invite you to go to shows with them.
