Dude my school had 4000 people in it! There were seperate proms for every grade.
I didn't go to a single dance and honestly, even to this day I don't regret it. Just stay home and play video games. When people ask where you were tell them "I didn't feel like wasting my time and/or money so I chilled out at home". Better yet, go to the movie theaters knowing you won't run into any of your classmates there.
