People will always judge Minecraft and ignore just how comfy it was. I haven't played since 1.8 and the intruduced hunger. That really took away from the comfy factor. Maybe there's an option to play without it now, idk.

I left off on PS2. If PS4 is backwards compatible/has an eshop I can recommend Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy. It's easy platforming designed for 8 year olds and it's in a neat little world that's sort of unique. The music and environments are super cozy for the most part. There's tons of little collectibles and objectives so it always feels like you're doing something. If something's frustrating you there's always somewhere else to go and something else to do. You only need 72/100 mcguffins to get to the last level. Singular downside: unskippable cutscenes. It's good to pay attention to them the first time though, it's sort of like watching a neat cartoon.
The music and graphics have that early 2000s computer game feel which I personally find very cozy.

I miss this game. I want to download it but I know it won't be the same. My favorites are probably Sweden and Subwoofter Lullaby. I wonder if the current game even has this soundtrack anymore. I have such distinct memories of playing in silence, almost forgetting there was a soundtrack, and then Sweden or Minecraft would start slowly playing.
