What are your thoughts on Capitalism?
Do you think it will always end in Corporate Socialism?
Does it create a degenerate society?
>>
>>28575642

the long-term planning leaves a lot to be desired

by which i mean it's next to nonexistent
>>

>What are your thoughts on Capitalism?

Terrible system that discourages social cohesion because it allows many members of the tribe (welfare queens and the rich) to not have any kind of job or responsibility to further the good of the tribe.
>>
No long-term planning, its "gib everything to me now pls"-tier and deal with consequences later.
Not that communism is any better.
>>
the only system i can see working is tribalism
>>
Central planning can be better if the planners aren't corrupt but they usually are or become so over time. I really am not so sure if worker ownership would be much better at least for the planet. Still, capitalism is pretty shit tier.

This.

We weren't meant to live like this. Big cities, big suburbs. Completely reliant on trucks to deliver food to the nearest market. Working shitty jobs just to pay to be alive.
It's sick, really.

Small, self-sustaining communities have existed long before hipsters made them popular. among your own people.

>welfare queens
You mean socialist policies in what should be a free market?

Go read some Milton Friedman or Hayek idiot.
>>
>>28576223

the welfare class is a product of capitalism, NOT socialism you retard. In a true socialist society such a class would need not exist.
>>
>>28575642
The correct blend of capitalism and socialism can create the best of all worlds.

Capitalism = incentive driven by profit

Socialism = support granted to people through cooperative effort

I don't see why we can't have capitalism just like it is, but then tax the high performers heavily. They's still be way richer than everyone else, just not by so much that the rest of us have to struggle.

If you socialized government programs to support infrastructure and education and such with the obscene profits of capitalist winners, you'd have a system where no one could fall so low that their lives were over and no one could rise so high that they became godlike in power.

Unlike other systems which rely almost entirely on the benevolence of people, capitalism harnesses the only certainty in society; ruthless self-service. Communism relies on the masses to remain motivated without reward, fascism relies on those in charge to not abuse their power, anarchy doesn't work if your aim is to build and progress an organized society. Capitalism, with minimal regulation, rewards those who create and take risks, while still profiting off these ventures to an extent. It promotes competition, which is the only thing that keeps thing moving. Be it the economy, society, or even nature itself, competition and selection is the only constructive force.

How? Privatly owned Safaris and states are better preserved than publicly owned parks and even monuments. Just go to your closer state housing place to see what a shithole that is.

Fucking kek. You say this under the protection of a big mother fucking leviathan. Without it you will probably have died along time ago.

Only if you are totally useless. Privatly own property is better preserved, and laissez faire is the fastest way of economic growth and prosperity ever designed.

Free market international capitalism is pure jew cancer.

only because we've grown up underneath it
if it were never there then we'd be aware of the truth from the beginning instead of being lied to for 18 years until "lol oops tricked ya ;) being nice gets you shit on and you should've been practicing doing the exact opposite of what we all told you to do"

You understand nothing, without the peotection of the Leviathan, progress wouldnt have happened. Child mortality would be around 1 in 3 childs, humans would have alredy died from a pandemic like AIDs,you wouldnt have light ,a heater of a pc. Without its protection probably there would be no humans on earth.
>>
>>28578423
AIDs was created and perpetuated by the WHO, Adam lived to be over 900 years old without modern medicine
>>
>>28578466
I said something like AIDs,never said AIDs. Do you know how close has our species being in the verge of extintion? You would be surprised. A cold killed people in 3 days 1000 years ago.

You think the rabble in russia and china overthrew the government out of benevolence for their fellow workers? Capitalism fell in those countries for the exact reasons you ascribed failure to the other forms of government.

Being forced to use increasingly worthless fiat currency, mass shortages of goods whilst expecting people to send their sons and fathers to the meat grinder of the Imperial German Army in the East with no reward but feeling patriotic lead to the downfall of Capitalism in Russia.

Likewise in China it was the abuse of the capitalist class and the KMT that amazingly lead to Mao and his band of brigands actually holding the moral highground.

All forms of government have to deal with the risks you describe

This is wrong on so many ways that is not even funny.
First of all Fiat currency=/= capitalism. The USSR used Fiat currency too.
Shortages of goods was because the war. When Lenin took power and applied his policies there was huge scarcity, probably one of the biggest drops in productivity in history.

>This is wrong on so many ways that is not even funny.

>First of all Fiat currency=/= capitalism. The USSR used Fiat currency too.

I didn't say that it was, my point was that the capitalist government of Russia at the time was drawing on altruism of its people to fund a war that was hostile to their self interest so much so that it caused its own downfall.

>Shortages of goods was because the war.
See the above.

>When Lenin took power and applied his policies there was huge scarcity, probably one of the biggest drops in productivity in history.

Which is why he had to introduce his infamous New Economic Policy and roll back some left wing reforms for a period.

My whole thesis is similar to yours in that yest self interest is key however I disagree that capitalism exclusively has served this.
>>
>>28578658
>I disagree that capitalism exclusively has served this.
I agree with this. Feudalism has worked too,but capitalism is more preferable overall.
>>
>>28575642
I think the system self destruct on the next economic crash, as the US Gov did fuck-all to prevent another crisis from happening. All so a bunch of corporations could sponge up wealth and hide it away from taxation.
>>
>>28578280
Preserved against what exactly? Capitalism? Ell oh ell.

Corporate interests and enterprising unscrupulous fuckwits are to blame for the degradation of the planet. This alone tells us capitalism is fucked.
>>
>>28578676
>I agree with this. Feudalism has worked too,
exactly

>,but capitalism is more preferable overall.
Id have to preface this with a "for now". Capitalism has fallen far to many times for me to be comfortable in it being universally preferable

Again, self-sustainability would mean that members of the community are equipped with this kind of knowledge.

If nutrition wasn't such shit, the frequency of disease and health issues in general would plummet. In today's world, knowing what we know, an optimal lifestyle supported by an optimal diet is completely possible.
