Actually, that's most western shows. I have no idea what a relationship feels like, or what sex is like, intimacy, etc. so I feel like such a pathetic failure it's hard to enjoy very much of anything.
Anime is easier to escape into, but I don't watch romance shit for obvious reasons. Anime has been boring me lately anyway after years of binging.

I don't give a shit where games or anime are set, or how old the protagonists are. FF7 has a lot of characters at 22 or younger. FF8 they're all teens, and Quistis feels like an outsider because she's 18. I still replay those games from time to time, and I'm 38 years old. I just don't play them all day like I did during middle school or high school summers
