Before she died, I promised the love of my life I would take care of her cat for her. He's 16 and still going strong. He never liked me when she was around but he warmed up pretty quickly once it was just us. Climbs into my lap and just sleeps for hours while purring like a little kitten. Once he's gone, I'll either kill myself or get a kitten. I kind of like having someone to take care of again.

It's probably gonna hurt like a motherfucker when he dies. I still remember when she got him, when we were kids. He was this tiny little thing. So small you could have sat him inside a can of soda. He's still runty but I like him just the way he is. I guess what I do when he dies depends on how bad of a day I'm having at the time.
