I saw this at the theater when it came out. Im 42, so I was little then, but it was still kick ass. This movie was the first emotionally dark movie I had seen outside of Watership Down. Very moving to say the least.

I just fucking watched this shit last night while I was building shitty ikea furniture. If I didn't have the ikea furniture to distract from the movie I wouldn't have been able to watch more than 20 minutes. I saw it last week at an old theater that was playing it, the soundtrack is amazing on a good soundsystem, you can hear a lot more details than a regular tv. Vangelis is great.

It, while it's very interesting from a technical point of view both visually and in sound design, the characters and story are really uninteresting and the movie never really got me interested in what was happening. I'd say it left me very disappointed after hearing so many good things and how overrated it was.
