Bones doesn't try to appeal to blacks anymore. If you listen to his new shit its very dark and genuine. His old old shit was appealing to blacks, look up TeamSESH
I like Gravity Boys/Shield Gang better. It's less conventional (I don't know if I should use the term experimental but it's pretty close to it) and I think they're precursors to what rap music might sound in the near future. And they're more charismatic IMO

The main thing about all of the artists in this thread is their amazing production. Producers like Whitearmor, Yung Gud, fucking geniuses from another world. Any track blessed by Whitearmor is bound to be 10/10. There literally isn't one bad track, and they all sound so different too.

I don't really rate yung gud more than yung sherman but I should give a re-listen to Unknown Memory and Unknown Death to be honest. Whitearmor is really a GOAT producer, I don't understand why don't he get more credit. He's easily better than producers like metro boomin or the current trap trendy producer. I like some bones producers like Greaf but a lot of bones beats sounds the same. All average synth + average drums. Maybe I'm too biased but the whole shield gang group is too underrated and in the shadow, still amaze me how they have not blow up yet. Tunes like Butterfly (or their most recent stuff in general) could really get trendy as it's not really hard to get into (unlike GLUEE period bladee for example)
