I don't understand this phenomenon, when I was 18'i still had the same mindset when I was 16-17, video games and staying home staying up all night playing video games, I didn't suddenly want to get a license and go gamble money away.

As a person that likes weed and alcohol, most people dont come in touch with alcohol and drugs untill the age of 18 cause they care about laws and what not or they arent yet going to the parties where such things are consumed.
I don't get it either. I don't really like alcohol. The only drinks I've ever had that I liked were mixed drinks that just taste like fruit or sugary where you can't really taste the alcohol.
And invariably every time I say that someone tells me I have shit taste and I'm immature and etc.
Underaged drinking and drug use is a common occurrence , children are influenced by the main stream media and some children see things for adults due to poor supervision. So they come to idolize drinking and smoking until they can legally do it. But its never just a flip of the switch, most kids have thought about doing it before they turn 18 or 21.

I had the same experience as you. I stayed at home when school ended and played on my computer. with the exeption of occasionally going round one friends house during holidays.
Then when the normies started joining facebook I could see what they were really getting up to. Parties, cigarettes, getting drunk and drugs. implied sex too.
The worst part was I thought I was friends with these guys yet they didnt invite me or even mention this going on to me.
