there's nothing resembling an 'interior design' board so i thought i'd just post this here
is it weird to hang rugs on the wall as a decoration or not? it has the added benefits of soundproofing and heat

idiot kill uruslellffff
What kind of rugs?
If you're hanging epic tapestries from the age of vikings, go ahead. I don't know why you would just hang a normal rug from the furniture store on the wall though
It will make you look like a kebab or a druggie.

turkish preferably, no frayed edges either just solid

not what i want
That would most likely look terrible.
You could always go to battlestation threads on /g/ or whatever board. That's probably the closest you'll get to an interior design thread.

Sounds fine, just make sure spray them down with bugspray pretty heavily since roaches like to hide in them.

i heard russians doing them but i think around here if someone saw it they'd think i'm being a retard
Scandis do them, they call them rya or ryijy. But they're specifically meant for walls, not normal rugs you'd walk on. They're heavy, thick and fluffy, and often have good imagery.

thanks for the tip, those sound like a much better idea that what i had planned originally
If it looks good, it looks good. If we can't see your place, we can't judge whether or not it's acceptable.
