Why do normies wait at the lights on a pedestrian crossing even when they can see its clear?
Is it a crime or something to do it? It's the only reason I can think of because there's a 0% chance of being hit when you can see what's coming for 100's of yards in each direction.

Also, its technically a violation to walk when the light is green but walks sign is red, but I don't think anyone gets ticket for that.

I don't know if it's true or not, but if you're hit while jaywalking or outside of a crosswalk the law can't protect you as well as if you had been following the rules. You won't be able to press charges as effectively and may not win a damn thing.
