I understand the mentality online, or at least, I understand why I have done similar things in the past.
I have talked to people before for weeks on end and the conversation is just "hi how are you cool me too oh thats sound fun" and then thats it forever. Now I'm not saying I'm good at conversation, I'm painfully autistic and don't know how to initiate, but sometimes I just don't want to keep replying. When I was younger I used to try and be polite and say something, but after being screamed at and yelled at and called lots of nasty stuff and then having someone a new crusader of hate against me for doing nothing, it became a lot less easy to do that because of fear.
It's a much better policy to just be avoidant, if people ask for my info I give it, but I'm not good at talking to people outside of like 2 subjects.
Maybe that explains some of it, but I don't really know.
