Small towns have huge police forces because everyone knows everyone from highschool and they want more buddies to work with. It's ridiculous to drive through a town of 5000 mainly old white people and count at least 4 cop cars going around. They spend most of their time sitting around doing nothing or pulling people over to generate revenue for the government so they can in turn be paid. I live along I-40 and most of the time they sit at the exits waiting for out of state people to be speeding slightly (people from out of state are less likely to fight it in court).

This happened to me a few weeks ago. I got pulled over by an undercover cop for not having my seat belt on. He said "you're kind of nervous" which I was because I had hot boxed the car the night before and was worried their was weed crumbs on the floor. In florida you get sent straight to jail for even the smallest crumb of weed. Anyways he goes to his car and runs my shit, comes back 15 mins later says I'm not gonna give you a seat belt ticket but since you're so nervous it probably means you have something to hide, so I'm going to need to search your vehicle. Next time give the police what they ask for and hand them an attorneys card if they want to ask you anything else, never, ever, speak to the police, even if you are the victim, never argue with a cop, fight it in court not on the street, get two dash cams, one front one back, will save your ass one day, put a small sticker on the front window, "you may be recorded with visual and audio equipment" this satisfies the requirement of notification, remember anything you say to a cop will be used against you, and whatever they write that you said, whether you did or not, is considered to be the truth and is evidence, never ever trust any type of law enforcement, they are not there to protect you
