They killed Nostalrius though, what do we do now? Nothing will face that quality of gameplay again. I mean 12K players online at the some moment? Woah.

Read up on it, too bad It's TBC but I assume it's better than nothing.

Still the vanilla feel is pretty fucking legit bra, but then again this looks promising enough. But then again god fucking dammit Nostalrius was great.

Just don't forget that this 'corecraft' shit will be sued within a year too and you will lose all your friends, aquintances through your guild, grinded gear etc again.

>wow was a game for robots
you can say this for any mmorpg in its prime

final fantasy 14 realm reborn is pretty good if you would like a story based mmorpg. I've been playing that for the past week, no complaints besides servers sometimes being mediocre.

Pfffttchkaahahahahaha. You're straight-up retarded. I played WoW since open beta and it was the most normie MMO yet.

Runescape is where all the robots and betas are.
Only an autist can play that game and enjoy.

I should now since Im playing it right now.
>>
>>28476637
eventually smarter robots realize that runescape is 100% pointless and you could be playing something that actually rewards you in some way other than "Congratulations" popping up on the screen every once in a while.

>>

>thing I like is pointless
>everything else is pointless too of course
video games can have worthwhile meaning, but runescape has none of that. you solo grind all day for a message popping up on a screen eventually. it's literally what the stanley parable warns players about.
>>
>>28476672
Setting a goal then achieving it gives you a sense of accomplishment, that's what drew me to the game. It's the biggest timesink ever but for some reason I'm proud of my account, put a lot of work into it. As dumb as that is.

My little brother loves RS3, he's halfway to maxing. It's like his passion. I've given him 100m on a couple occasions, he loves it.
>>
>>28476730
Well what game isn't "pointless"
At the end of the day all games end with a "Congratulations" or a "Thanks for playing." I play them for entertainment, lower stress and all that.
>>
>>28476771
Would you rather work at a boring white collar job or at a job where you get paid a good wage and do what you love? that's the difference between Runescape and good video games. People want to play a boring office job videogame because they resign themselves to the idea that this is a good way to spend time. you're literally taking the blue pill when you play a videogame like this.

Shame about the DDOS, may god bless their recovery.

I enjoy it so I play it. I don't see why thats a hard concept to understand. When I feel like playing a different game I'll play a different game. Runescape is the only game of its type that I can think of and I felt like playing it so I did. Whats wrong with that?

Was called Fiesta online, it was another shitty grindfest mmo.

My guild and friends on that game were amazing, I spent countless nights raiding and farming with those bastards. Now it's a barren wasteland operated by another company. I'll never love a game as much as I loved that one. I wonder how they are all doing..
>>
>>28475729
Remember when people shunned you for playing WoW and now girls are like omg I play teehee
>>
i use to liked playing css with my friend but now i have nobody to play games on. ten years ago i had a friend we use to play wow with. he decide to change teams, i guess traded accounts with someone.

have you checked twitch lately
even osrs has gone the normie way, there are tons of womyn playing it just to pretend they're alternative
>>

Only six years? Feels like it's longer ago, well this certainly puts everything into perspective.

Fuck you little young bitchy newfaggot.
>>
>>28477014
I also found another game called Zombies Monster Robots, which is a Gears of War clone. Made by the same dev too, I think.

I only spent 1,000 hours on that but it came close to the original joy and wonder that Fiesta brought to me. Sadly the game wasn't popular and only the ones who refuse to accept it's death are still on there. Servers aren't maintained so hackers and afkers have taken over. Sadly my "guild" or Corp as it's called was full of fucking normies who chatted about normie shit, at least in fiesta the normies kept the discussion game related 90% of the time

WoW was doomed from the start. When it began, it was mostly kids, teenagers, and college students who played. The game system promotes a high level of play, and you can't get to the best stuff unless you're willing and able to sink in at least an hour a day. It also requires a large amount of coordination, so if one key member of your guild had to miss a raid, it was off. This means that as its fanbase grew up and got jobs, they had less and less time to raid or do PvP or dungeons, and then the whole thing runs to shit because only people with tons of free time (and that $15 a month ain't cheap if you're a broke student with loans) can play it anymore. WoW will die because the very nature of the game means that it can't appeal to casual players.
>>
>>28477183
I think the charm has worn off just because we got older.
But yeah most seem to be pretty sure since they all try to rehash the same formula of jewing players out of their money
>>
>>28477183
Survival games and minecraft type games destroyed them.

>>28477205

you can only really ever have one MMO in your life
if you try playing another MMO, it just doesn't catch because you already know the mechanics of how it works and how to figure it out
the best case is basically like going from watching X-Files to Fringe. The X-Files feels fresh, new, and interesting. Fringe is good but it's just like "eh, it's basically just x-files with more lens flare"
>>
>>28477914
I don't think this is the case unless your implying wow style mmos are the only ones that can exist.
>>
>>28475729
This pic hurts my feels.
Except it was cod 4. First modern warfare. Started a clan. Joe. Brad. Nick. Steven and me. Played everyday for at least a year. They were my bros. Then world at war came out. We all went are own ways. We all tried to restart the clan again. But. No one was intrested anymore. Stayed in contact on fb for another year. But that slowly died off too. The memories wont be forgotten. But god dammit i wish i could go back to those days. Laughing constantly. Goodbye fxr5
>>

>>

isnt it out again anyways? just for the newest MGS
>>
I still play because I'm in a great guild, but it's not what it was, every single friend outside of the guild in the game had quit within 3 months of Warlords coming out and for most of the time since February 2015, I've had no reason to log my main outside of raids and clicking the command table. If my guild disbands or Legion is just as shitty was Warlords then I'm walking away.
