I like to go on Wikipedia and press the random article button and learn stuff that will never have any impact on my life. I can't do my own taxes but I can tell you about the Canadian Motorsports Hall of Fame

thats actually a great habit tho. if you can make it work for its really helpful when making small talk with people.
wikipedia is 99% noise especially for any article that might be slightly controversial. it's a great idea in theory but when internet trolls spend years crafting their perfect version of their own little page, it becomes worse than what plebbit could ever be.

I have this hobby and I spend hours on it every night. I guarantee I can start a conversation about something you can relate to. Good way to make people subtly like you. It also works well when I don't want to talk about my life but coworkers want to have a conversation.

I go on Rateyourmusic and search up an album or genre I enjoy and just basically dive in reading reviews and shit. Learning about different music genres and care how my music is organized. I have 90GB's of music, I need help.
My only hobby is ruminating over the past and dreading the future.
I've lost interest in all else. So I turn to escapism, vidya, alcohol, porn, etc, in order to avoid those thoughts. I don't enjoy them, but they take my mind off my situation.

I really enjoy learning lists of things. It's an incredibly autistic hobby.
Not that these things are impressive but I know:
Every capital city of every country
Every state and state capital USA/Canada despite not living there.
Every regular first team player for every every European and American (north and south) national soccer team.
Every country's flag
Details of every national Dictator in Europe since medieval times.
It's just the challenge of memorizing it that I enjoy for some reason
