I don't do it personally, but I do come from a very rainy and wet country so tredding dirt in is always a risk despite wiping feet, even if it's dry I still take them off, you have no idea what you've walked in.

i have a pair that i use like house slippers sometimes if the floor isn't clean. lots of people wear them at pools and beaches too or just when it's hot out. or they use them as shower slippers with room mates to avoid stepping in weird shower stuff.

Loafers are comfier than barefoot anon. A nice pair of loafers is one of the comfiest things. Especially on a cold winter day paired with cashmere socks. Maybe it doesn't look the best but got danged it's comfy. desu, cashmere socks with anything is great.
