I learned tons of useful shit by browsing /lit/, /sci/ and /his/, so the website isn't that bad. /r9k/ is utter garbage tho, better leave it immediately.

You can escape into movies, books, your own mind. I dunno. There are other places to go.

For socialization, though, yeah I find it hard to fit in anywhere else too.
